Designed and woven by Morris in his Hammersmith bedroom in 1879, Acanthus & Vine is now displayed in his later home, Kelmscott Manor. This French tapestry is woven by Jules Pansu in 95% cotton.

He set up a loom in his bedroom at Kelmscott House and worked on this every day, sometimes for ten hours at a stretch, from 10th of May to the 17th of September 1879.
